The only gym I've stuck to for this long! It's small, personal and always on hand to help u out with any aspect of your training :)

Amazing wee gym with a personal and friendly feel c

Exactly what a gym should be...no posers, friendly approachable trainers who are genuinely interested in giving you advice and helping you train, plenty of proper equipment (not just rows of treadmills). Ive joined quite a few gyms in my life, Pure Gym, Virgin etc and this is the first one Ive actually looked forward to going to...a credit to Ru and his team :)

Do you like dull and repetitive? Find it hard to crack a smile? Definitely not a people person then huh? Well you are probably looking for a sterile, shiny gym where the PT's strut around looking buff, tanned and untouchable. Add in members who think they are uber cool, spending an hour admiring themselves in front of a mirror whilst nattering away on the phone. In that case....this is not the gym for you.X-Fit is a REAL gym. No starchiness here! The owner/PT Ru Pinkerton has bags of enthusiasm and makes everyone feel welcome and included. You're not treated as just another on the bank balance at this gym. He knows who all his members are and appreciates you. You actually have a name!My PT is Matt Craft whom I moved with, 5 months ago, from one of those shiny gyms that I felt out of place in. My Guru, the poor guy just couldn't shake me off! So, same awesome PT (that I'd struggle to live without) but with a massive change in environment that is palpable. Didn't think my sessions could get any better but with the range of different 'toys' to play with at X-Fit I never know in advance what the heck I'm going to try out next. Now that keeps things fun and interesting! Due to some health issues, my needs are forever changing and Matt tailors my nutritional plan and workouts to accommodate those issues whenever they arise. The same applies with the other PTs and their clients.Recently Ive become addicted to hammering away at the boxing bag and learning the gymnastic rings. Ive watched a few members being harnessed up and pulling a car (women not only drive well they pull well too!) so who knows if that will be next on my to do list. I'm a 56 year old woman, which proves you don't have to be young (and apparently #buzzing) to 'fit' in at X-Fit. All ages, all sizes, all capabilities - they've got you covered. Health & nutrition advice, 1-1 training, group training, weight loss program, dedicated Facebook group for members with help and advice almost round the clock (do you ever sleep Ru??) and pretty much everything else you could need and want in terms of support. No matter your reason for joining the gym, they will drive you to achieve your goal. The word boring does not exist in this gym.X-Fit really opened my eyes to what a gym should be. Approachable, friendly, helpful and motivating staff. A warm atmosphere. Wide and varied range of equipment and...get this... everyone says hello to you and smiles as you walk in to the gym. Who knew!!If you're reliant on public transport, don't let the location put you off. I use the number 10 McGill's bus from/to the centre of Paisley and the stops are smack bang at the start of Scott's Road on Hawkhead Road. Also Hawkhead train station is a 2 minute walk from the gym if you're coming from Glasgow city centre. Sorted! So, go on, I dare you to pop in for a nosy around. I guarantee you won't say "this isn't for me" and never return.NOTE: This is an impartial and honest review but, hey Ru, I wouldn't be averse to a couple of these yummy Grenade Carb Killa protein bars you stock finding their way into my gym bag....Caramel Chaos flavour in particular ;) Or should my first ever attempt at a hashtag be ..... #pushingmyluckwhatachancer .....?

Fun and friendly gym and the staff are always willing to give a helping hand.
