Excellent GP practice. Great care easy access and relaxing waiting area. Was registered here for over 40 years until I moved to Barrhead.
Been giving the wrong medication twice when I queried the doctor about it only to be told I should have questioned him about it he's the doctor why would I query him he should know what he is prescribing shocking.
Difficult to get correct information from the receptionists; have called several times to arrange travel vaccinations and have been told conflicting information each time. Was advised to complete form and submit prior to appointment; I was also advised that the nurse would review the form and call to advise if the appointment was required. No one from the practice called. When I followed up, I was advised that I had to make an appointment to find out if I need a further appointment - absolute waste of my time. Apparently unable to give me a list of my previous/recent vaccinations either. Very inefficient working practices; will be looking for a new practice.
Overall a very good GP practice. I've been registered here since birth. Always found the doctors to be pleasant and one helped me through a rough patch. Yes the phoning up at 8 in the morning to get an appointment is a pain but that's my only negative at the moment.I notice a few reviews mentioning patient confidentiality because they've been asked questions by a receptionist. Doctors and receptionists sign the same patient confidentiality agreement so I don't see what the issue is. Some doctors are better at dealing with different issues depending on their training.
Good luck getting an appointment from here, "receptionists" want to know why u want to see a doctor so "they" can then decide if the nurse can help with your issue!! They are "receptionists" no medical training and should not be asking for any information regarding your visit absolutly no patient confidentiality what so ever, doctors just fob u off no real concern or interest in your problems also just writing this while phoning 7.02min later i get an anwser and an appointment for next week (8days) wait! Time to change doctor's tired of feeling like im takin time out of "their" day to be seen.
