A place of memories
Couldnt be more grateful and impressed to the staff at Paisley Library, I had gone in with some family members on a genealogy search, staff helped find micro film relevant to the years of births,deaths, marriages, nooks registering those requiring assistance financially and so much more. Not only were s mind if information for us but genuinely interested in our search. In addition the facilities were second to none; computers, microfilm viewers, photographs and so welcoming. The architecture of the building is beautiful and created the greatest ambience for our search. The staff are very helpful. The top floor which was used when I was younger is now not used and the children's area located at the bottom. I did find the library to feel rather sparse though. Probably have to have to use the reservation service more to get what you would like.
Great place but now automatic, fewer staff and children's songs/playing very noisy - it is a library.
