I walked past this place going to Storie Street baths a long, long time ago. I never had the money to go in, when I now pass as an adult, all my memories come back,. Allan's is absaloutley fantastic. They won the award a while back for the best fish in Scotland n I completely agree. It would be a travesty if a visitor or local, you don't go in. It hasn't changed one bit in years, spotless, staff great service is second to none. Go on folks, treat yourself to a fish tea.
Absolutely love this place, we had the 3 course lunch which was outstanding and great value for money. The staff were very friendly as always. Would definitely recommend this place. 10 out of 10.
Been going here for almost 30 odd years. It used to be a really great chip shop, but too be honest I find the chips a bit hit and miss when I go now. Still an ok chippy for the price. The dcor hasn't changed at all. Which is fine because most of it is in good nick could maybe use a freshen up, but the bathrooms need overhauled especially the Men's can't comment on the Ladies having never been in them.
First time in Allans for 45 years. Not changed much. Still brilliant. Great Fish tea.
Used to love this place til the Mrs and I took a quiet stroll on a winter's night all rugged up (the Mrs was wearing a scarf over her head to stay warm, it was that cold!) We nearly didn't find the place until the Mrs started yelling in delight "Alan's Snack Bar! Alan's Snack Bar!" She was tackled immediately by police and taken into custody... Still can't work out why... Should probably go and see if she can be bailed out... Maybe next week...
